FAQs

Can anyone partake in Pilates?

Whether you choose to do Pilates as a stand alone training programme, or to compliment other sports or fitness. You will reap the benefits.

I have some joint problems, can I still join your Pilates class?

Pilates can be used to help with joints problems such as arthritis. I have a class in Rockbourne specifically for this. Please get in touch with me if you are unsure if classes are suitable for you. I will always ask you to get the go-ahead from your healthcare professional (eg GP, surgeon, physio, health visitor etc) before you start Pilates. Pilates is wonderfully versatile and I offer lots of modifications and adaptations of exercises for clients that need them.

Should I do more than 1 class per week?

I often get asked this and of course I recommend more than once a week! But I do also appreciate that life is busy and this isn't possible for most people. A rule of thumb is that you will feel better if you come once a week and you will really start to notice improvements and progress if you can come 2 or 3 times a week. If you can’t get to more than 1 class a week then a little bit (10mins) of regular practise at home can make all the difference and I have on demand classes recorded in a Facebook private group for you to purchase if you wish

How do I book and pay?

To book your sessions please email me: sophiesharpe6@icloud.com

Or call: 07739042207

To pay: BACS transfer is required before each block of classes, please see terms and conditions.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

Please bring your own mat (bring a towel if you don't have a mat). I also recommend bringing a water bottle. We work with small equipment in some classes - this includes the Pilates soft ball, resistance bands and light hand weights. I do have spares of everything but if you would like to purchase your own, please just ask.
